Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal data we collect through telonic.ai, docs.telonic.ai and marketing.telonic.ai, why we collect it, how long we keep it, who processes it for us, and the choices and rights you have.

Who we are

These websites are run by Mirchandani Technologies L.L.C-FZ, Meydan Free Zone, Dubai, the company that provides Telonic ("we", "us"). Our office is at The Offices 3, One Central, DWTC, Sheikh Zayed Rd, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. For anything about this policy or your personal data, email inquiries@telonic.ai.

This policy covers our websites only. When an organisation uses Telonic with its own customers, that organisation decides how its customers' data is used, and its own privacy notice and our agreement with it apply.

What we collect

  • The contact and demo forms: your first and last name, work email, company, job title, country, industry, monthly conversation volume, the topic you choose and your message; your phone number and how you heard about us, if you give them; the page's language, the time you sent the form, and the exact wording of the consent you gave.
  • The research subscription form: your first and last name, work email, company and job title; the page's language, the time you subscribed, and the exact wording of the consent you gave.
  • Analytics, only if you accept them: Google Analytics records the pages you visit, how you arrived at the site, the type of device and browser you use, your approximate location (country and city), and actions such as sending a form or downloading a file. It does this with cookies, which are described in our cookie policy. If you reject analytics, or make no choice, no analytics cookies are set.
  • Server logs: like most websites, our servers record each request they receive: your IP address, the date and time, the page or file requested, the page you came from, and your browser's description of itself.

We do not ask for sensitive personal data through these websites. Please do not include any in your message.

Why we collect it

  • To answer your enquiry or demo request, and to arrange and hold the conversations that follow. You ask us to do this when you send the form.
  • To send you our research, if you subscribe. You consent to this when you tick the box on the subscription form.
  • To understand how the websites are used and improve them, through Google Analytics, only if you accept analytics cookies.
  • To keep the websites secure and working, through the server logs: for example, to detect misuse, limit repeated form submissions and fix faults.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for advertising.

How long we keep it

  • Enquiries (what you send through the contact and demo forms, and our correspondence with you about them) are kept for 24 months after our last contact with you, and are then deleted.
  • Research subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe.
  • Server logs are kept for 30 days, and are then deleted.
  • Analytics data is kept by Google Analytics for 14 months, and is then deleted automatically.
  • Backups of our systems, including the list of research subscribers, are made daily and encrypted. We keep 14 daily, 8 weekly and 12 monthly copies and delete older ones; earlier versions of the backup files are deleted from storage after 90 days. Data deleted from our systems can therefore remain in a backup until the copy that holds it is deleted.

Who processes it for us

We use a small number of providers to run the websites and handle your data on our behalf. Each receives only what its task needs.

  • Google Workspace (Google): email. Every form submission is sent to our team by email, and our email runs on Google Workspace.
  • Google Analytics (Google): website analytics, only if you accept analytics cookies. Google signals and advertising features are switched off.
  • Amazon Web Services (AWS): hosting. The websites, their server logs and the list of research subscribers are stored on AWS servers in Mumbai, India.
  • Our CRM: we may record your enquiry and our correspondence with you in a customer relationship management (CRM) system that we host and run ourselves.

We may also disclose personal data where the law requires it.

Transfers outside the UAE

We are based in the UAE, but some of our providers store or process data in other countries. The websites are hosted in India, and Google may process data in the United States and in other countries where it operates. When you use these websites or send us a form, your personal data may be transferred to and stored in those countries.

Your rights

Depending on where you are, data protection laws, such as the UAE's Federal Decree-Law on the Protection of Personal Data, Saudi Arabia's Personal Data Protection Law and the European Union's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), may give you rights over your personal data. These can include the right to:

  • know what personal data we hold about you and receive a copy;
  • have it corrected if it is wrong;
  • have it deleted;
  • restrict or object to how we use it;
  • receive it in a format that can be passed to another organisation;
  • withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting what we did before;
  • complain to the data protection authority where you live or work.

To use any of these rights, email inquiries@telonic.ai. We may ask you to confirm your identity before we act on a request, and we will reply within the time the law that applies to you sets.

Every marketing email we send will carry an unsubscribe link. You can also unsubscribe from our research, or withdraw any consent you have given us, by writing to inquiries@telonic.ai.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our websites or the way we handle personal data change. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last updated.
